Spring Concert: Thursday, May 25th (All Groups)

Date: Thursday, May 25th

Location: Eich Gym

Call Time for Musicians: 6:40pm in the music room

Concert Start Time: 7:00pm (Doors to the gym will open at 6:40pm)

Attire: Disneyland All Black for Advanced and Guitar, Music shirts or all black for Intermediate Band

On Thursday, May 25th we will present our annual Spring Concert in the gym at Eich. The concert will begin at 7pm and will feature our Bands, Guitar Ensemble, and the Ballroom Dance program. The concert is free to attend so please invite all of your family and friends! 

All Band and and Guitar musicians are expected to attend the concert. We rehearse together every day and come to depend on the sound of every musician. It is very important that musicians have the opportunity to perform the same way we have been rehearsing. 

The event itself is not graded, however, students will be completing a summative reflection paper after the concert. 

I am asking students to wear all black for the performance

• Advanced Band and Guitar: Wear your Disneyland performance clothes
• Intermediate Band: wear your festival clothes (Music T-shirt or black T-shirt, with nice jeans or pants)

The concert is free to attend but we will accept donations at the door and will offer the option to reserve seats for $10 each. This is optional. Order forms will be sent via email on Friday, December 2nd. 

8th Grade Promotion: Tuesday, June 6th (Band Only)

Who: Intermediate and Advanced Bands

What: Promotion Ceremony

Where: Eich field

Wear: Eich Music Shirts and pants (no shorts)

Call Time: 8:00am in the Eich music room

Performance: 10:00am

The Intermediate Bands will provide music for the Promotion Ceremony. Advanced Band will join us for the performance of the National Anthem.

Book Return

Band and Guitar books will be returned to the library on May 19th. If you do not return your book you will be charged for the cost of the replacement copy. Replacements generally cost between $15-20. 

Instrument Return

All school owned instrument will be returned the last week of school for summer maintenance and repairs.

Bands: June 6th - Immediately after the Promotion Ceremony

Spring Trip Payments

Final payments for all spring trips are due now. 

Disneyland: If you have a balance owed for the Disneyland trip I will be sending a gentle reminder email this week.

Six Flags Festival: Most families now owe the second $60 payment for the Intermediate Band's trip. If you paid in full last month thank you. If you are not sure of your balance, please email me.

Summer Music Camp Opportunities

We are extremely lucky to have several options for our musicians to stay active over the summer. All of these camps are run by top-notch local music teachers and offer opportunities for small and large group lessons. Please reach out if you have questions about any of them.

June 18th-24th Sierra Mountain Music Camp: Choir (Sleep-away Camp)
